Many attacks occur over a fleeting period of time, making it extremely tricky for the blue team to neutralize the threat before the &#8216;damage&#8217; is done.<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Exploiting bugs and weaknesses in the target&#8217;s infrastructure. This highlights gaps in the organization\u2019s technical security that require fixing, thus improving its security posture.<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Initiating hostile activity &#8211; including sophisticated penetration testing &#8211; giving a reliable assessment of the blue team&#8217;s defensive capabilities.<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<h3>The must-have skill sets<\/h3>\r\n<ul>\r\n \t<li>Initial reconnaissance &#8211; open-source intelligence (OSINT) for collecting information on the target.<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Deploying command-and-control servers (C&amp;C or C2) to establish communication with the target&#8217;s network.<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Using decoys to throw the blue team off the scent.<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Applying social engineering and phishing techniques to manipulate employees into exposing or revealing information to compromise their machines.<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Physical and digital penetration testing<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Network penetration testing and manipulation of network infrastructure<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Shell scripting or automation of simple tasks using Perl, Python, or Ruby<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Developing, extending, or modifying exploits, shellcode or exploit tools<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Reverse engineering malware, data obfuscators, or ciphers<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Thorough understanding of network protocols, data on the wire, and covert channels<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Mastery of Unix\/Linux\/Mac\/Windows operating systems, including bash and PowerShell<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Build security tools and Automation Red Teaming Workflow<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Utilize Threat Modelling methodologies to identify threats and shape Red Team operations<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Understanding of Mitre\u2019s ATT&amp;CK Framework<\/li>\r\n \t<li>SANS and Offensive Security certifications are highly desirable<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Web Penetration Testing (OWASP and SANS)<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<h3>Equal employment opportunity<\/h3>\r\nRezilyens is an equal opportunity employer and is dedicated to fostering an inclusive and diverse environment for employees from all walks of life.
