We focus on improving code quality and making work easier for everyone.\r\n<h3>Your responsibilities<\/h3>\r\n<ul>\r\n \t<li>Serve as a\u00a0<strong>Subject Matter Expert<\/strong>(SME) in web application security for projects during development.<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Provide Application Security consulting and recommendations, ensuring the implementation of approved security requirements.<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Help\u00a0<strong>improve the quality of our code <\/strong>throughout the whole stack. This will include writing fixes for individual problems as well as authoring \u201cguard rails\u201d which keep engineers from introducing problems in the first place.<\/li>\r\n \t<li><strong>Contribute to code reviews<\/strong>, design discussions, and develop features and solutions that scale.<\/li>\r\n \t<li><strong>Share application security knowledge <\/strong>with the members of the wider engineering team through training and internal blogging.<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Support the implementation and <strong>enforcement of secure design principles<\/strong>\u00a0according to policies, standards, and patterns of Application Security.<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Plan , organize, and complete\u00a0<strong>work within agile sprints<\/strong>. Communicate effectively on progress towards meeting expectation.<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Use the best software development practices and processes to coach and\u00a0<strong>mentor other\u00a0<\/strong><b>engineers to<\/b>to become proficient developers.<\/li>\r\n \t<li><strong>Contribute to a team\u00a0<\/strong><b>culture\u00a0that\u00a0 <\/b>values openness, inclusiveness, respect, quality, robustness, scalability, and humility while fostering innovation.<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Participate in\u00a0<strong>security incident\u00a0<\/strong><b>response <\/b>when needed.<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Work with security product vendors and service providers to evaluate security offerings, including product evaluations, proof-of-concepts, and pilot installations.<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Collaborate with product management and other engineering teams to define initiatives and features.<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Our team runs our own services and are on-call for those services 24\/7.<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<h3>The must-have skill sets<\/h3>\r\n<ul>\r\n \t<li>Minimum two years of experience with web application technologies including HTTP, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Minimum one year of experience with modern JS libraries\/frameworks (e.g. React, Angular, Vue, etc.).<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Minimum two years of experience with scripting languages like Python, Ruby, PHP, JavaScript, etc.<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Deep understanding of each OWASP top 10 vulnerability<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Minimum two years of experience in a security role Knowledge of website security, such as headers, cookies, CORS, XSS, etc.<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Strong understanding of Web authentication technologies such as OAuth and SAML<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), both generating policy and the application thereof<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Understanding of TLS and encryption, down to individual ciphers, and hashes and their correct application<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Experience with hacking, pen testing, and security tools (e.g. Burp Suite, Kali Linux, Nmap, Ghidra, IDA Pro, John the Ripper, Metasploit)<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Strong technical communication skills<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Knowledge of object-oriented software design patterns and computer science fundamentals (e.g. data structures, algorithms)<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Understanding of web frameworks and ORMs (for instance, Active Record in Rails)Experience with relational DBs (e.g. MySQL) including the development of complex SQL queries and their security pitfalls<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Testing methods, including unit and integration tests Knowledge of Linux and\u00a0 networking<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<strong>Good to have\u00a0<\/strong>\r\n<ul>\r\n \t<li>Knowledge of how to use and configure Docker and Kubernetes<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Contributions to open source projects<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Swagger\/Open API tooling experience<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Knowledge of using fuzzing in a web context<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Experience working with real-time messaging, NoSQL storage, and asynchronous task queues (e.g. Redis, RabbitMQ, Kafka, Celery, or Spark)<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Understanding of security-related compliance topics such as SOC2, PCI, ISO 27001<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<h3>Equal employment opportunity<\/h3>\r\nRezilyens is an equal opportunity employer and is dedicated to fostering an inclusive and diverse environment for employees from all walks of life.
