The role<\/h3>\r\nThe Human Resources Generalist positions report to either the Director of Human Resources or the Assistant Director of Human Resources, depending upon their individual assignment (Service Group\/Merit Commission\/Special). Under general supervision, individuals in these positions must be able to work successfully within a team environment to successfully perform a variety of professional and technical Human Resources duties across the spectrum of services provided by the Department.\r\n\r\nExamples of responsibilities include: responding pleasantly to internal and external inquires regarding policies, procedures or benefits, preparing recruiting materials for postings, maintaining employee files, preparing onboarding information and participating in the onboarding process and accurately setting up and making changes to employee records in the payroll system.\r\n
